covering my fave talking heads songs = this has taken me to my angry place (also populated by daniel bedingfield, ugg boots, barney the talking dinosaur, pigeons, derick minney’s flatulence, posh people who say “yar”, cheese, limosines, anchovies that are not preserved in salt, hard fi, and many more besides……)

Too right! I get so annoyed with bad service – I always think “I do my job, so why can’t you do yours!?” I would never dream of talking to my clients the way I get spoken to in some restaurants.

I’m slowly learning to overcome my British reserve and complain where it’s deserved, but it’s hard!

I also don’t tip if the service has been poor, but I make sure I tell them I’m doing it – otherwise they’ll just think I’m cheap.

Ahh maah gawwdd.
This gets me mad. My one and only bad US service/dining experience happened recently. But on the whole those bitches work for their tips.
In this country yesss its polite to tip but I refuse if the service is rubbish. If they get paid minimum wage and do the minimum work then fair’s fair. If they get paid min wage but make the effort to CARE you’re having a good time…shower ‘em with riches I say!
